| | So, I had the best birthday ever? Yes. For my 15th birthday, I went to
the Honda Civic Tour at the Woodlands Pavilion and there were some
GREAT bands there. Cobra Starship, Paul Wall, The Academy Is..., +44,
and Fall Out Boy played in that order. So, here's what
happened. We were like 30 minutes late and missed Cobra Starship. We
got there right when they ended with Snakes On A Plane, I'm guessing
since I heard it while we were going down the elevator to get inside
and all. My uncle and me walked around for a few minutes looking around
while we were looking for our seats, Z31 and Z32. We sit down and a few
minutes later, someone came out. I think it might have been Dirty. I
don't really know. I've only seen him in a few pics and wouldn't be
able to recognize him, but I'm almost pretty sure it was. So, he
announces Paul Wall coming out. We listen for not even a minute and we
decided to go walk around. So, I went to the merch table and got a FOB
shirt. Then, we went to the other merch table to see if they had
anything else. Nothing. So, we decided to get a drink. He started
joking with me talking about getting me a beer. lmao Well, we went to
the concession stand thing and got our drinks. Idk what he got, but I
got a Dr. Pepper. I forgot to say no ice though. Grrrr. So, we go back
to our seats and listen to the rest of Paul's performance.
Finally, he's finished and they get ready for The Academy Is... to come
out. After a few minutes, they came out. They were so amazing! I don't
remember what all they sang, but I remember that they sang The Phrase
That Pays, Slow Down, and We've Got a Big Mess On Our Hands.
After TAI, +44 came out, and they were amazing also. I don't really
remember what all they sang either. But, I do know that they sang When
your Heart Stops Beating because I recorded it on my phone. It's not
even a 30 second clip. My uncle took me a little closer to get better
shots and all. After that, we left and went to try and get better pics
of TAI. They were giving autographs out for a few fans. We didn't get
in line though, because they closed it and because it was kinda long.
But, we got the camera, zoomed in all the way (no use seeing as we were
really close) and took like 4 pics of William. My uncle took 3 for me,
and I got the last. The one I took, looked like he was looking right at
me. But, I couldn't take any of the rest of the band, because he was
ready to go back. So, i got a few extra pics of +44. Finally,
they went off, and they're getting ready for Fall Out Boy to come on.
They had music videos and ads on the big screen and they were starting
to play Gym Class Hero's song, Cupid's Chokehold and they turned it
off. Pete Wentz showed up on the screen talking about something in his
past and I think I remember him mentioning when he learned how to play
his bass. Finally, it went dark and then BAM! There was a flash of
white light and they just popped out of the ground! They walked down
this little pathway thingy and were playing. It was so amazing. They
had different effects going on through their performance. They had fire
popping up next to Andy and it was just amazing. I got so many pics of
them! Pete did his little spin thing a bunch of times and he licked his
bass a few times. They performed what felt like a million songs. It was
from a little after 9 until somewhere a little before or after 11. It
was long. And amazing! They performed Dance Dance, I Slept With Someone
In Fall Out Boy And All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me,
This Ain't A Scene It's An Arms Race, The Take Over the Breaks Over,
The Carpal Tunnel Of Love, and Thanks For the Memories. They sang a
bunch more, but I can't remember what they were. After every few songs,
Pete would say something in the mic. They decided to go do a quick
change, prob because they were so effin sweaty, and the camera followed
Pete into the dressing room and you could see him on the big screen
taking off his clothes. They showed him shirtless and all. Right when
he started unbuttoning his pants, it went off and went to something
else. lol Finally, Pete and Joe went off to some other stand thing that
was behind me, but still far way-ish. I wanted to go over there and get
closer but my uncle said no. Fuck. I coulda got a bunch of awesome
pics, really close like everyone else was getting since they went over,
but nope. But, I did get a few pics of them over there, so whatever.
Andy moved up to the center part that came out into the crowd and
started playing on the drum set that was placed right there and Patrick
moved up close to where Andy's original drum set was. It was just
amazing. Idk when it was, but when sang Dance, Dance, someone came out
and started doing the dance moves that were done at the end of the
music video for it. I'm not sure, but I think it was Dirty who did it.
Like I said, I haven't seen enough pics of him to recognize him and be
sure it was him, but I'm almost pretty sure it was him. Finally, the
concert was over and we went back to the merch table and I got another
shirt and I got the Official Tour Program booklet. It's pretty awesome.
It's all FOB and it has a small poster inside. We started
going back to the truck and some people were handing out free CD's so I
grabbed one. It's the Fueled By Ramen/Decay Dance Sampler 2007 or
something like that. The music on there is awesome. So, we went back to
his truck, but we stood around, because we knew it was no use in
leaving right then. We wouldn't ever be able to get out, everyone was
leaving. So, we stood by his truck and the wall, looking over at the
bands' tour busses. We had the perfect over view. We were up on the
ceiling, because there was like no where to park and the bus area was
like right by the building we parked on. So, we're just staring at the
busses hoping we could get a chance at seeing them one last time. We
didn't get to look for long because some fag security dude on a bike
told everyone to go to the vehicles and go home. Well go suck a dick
you fuckin cunt.
I'll post a link to the photobucket that has all the pics later. They're taking forever to upload. |
